My work explores landscape through the harmony and contrast between organic forms and elements found in nature and man-made geometric structures. I depict land, water, flora and fauna as metaphors for emotion and draw parallels between the cycles of nature and human existence. Fascinated by the traces we leave behind on the land, I explore existential questions such as the mystery of time, matter, birth, life, death, and transience. I paint from memory, blurring the boundaries between reality and subconscious imagery. I am interested in our connection to place, the impact of the environment on people, and humanity’s relationship with the Earth. Through visual diaries and narratives, I explore the concepts of wandering, solitude, belonging, and home, depicting the cosmic infinite, the potential that is hidden within emptiness, and the grandeur and power of the universe and nature in relation to human existence.
